The Challenge
Emergency chiller hire winery situations strike at the worst possible moment. Aircon Rentals received a call from a small award-winning organic winery west of Sydney that had just experienced a failure of their small capacity chiller as they were just about to start their crush. Parts were a week away, fruit was already coming in from the field, and there was no definite confirmation the spare would arrive in time. The site was four hours west of Sydney, fruit was starting to bank up awaiting crush, and the stakes were clear — lower wine quality and increased waste if cooling wasn’t restored fast.

The Solution
Aircon Rentals designed and deployed an air-cooled chiller package including fluid pump, all flexible hoses, manifolds, electrical cable. Installation was provided by Aircon Rentals and commissioned the entire system to the clients’ requirements. By the time the installation team arrived on site and installed / commissioned the equipment this necessitated an overnight stay. The Aircon Rentals team revisited site the next morning to ensure that the equipment was operating correctly before heading back to Sydney.
The Impact
Aircon Rentals proof tested at our Sydney warehouse prior to despatch making the installation foolproof and save time on site during installation. With the rental chiller on line, continuity of production ensured the crush was able to meet the demand during a critical period of the harvest.
